Daniel Bryan Reveals The Hardest Part Of Being The Smackdown LIVE General Manager

It was quite the surprise several weeks ago when Daniel Bryan made his return to WWE TV and was announced as the General Manager for Smackdown LIVE. Many fans were happy to see Bryan back with the company after he was forced to retire a number of months ago. He has been off to a strong start in his new role and will be looking to up the ante as we head into Summerslam weekend.

In a recent interview with Fox Sports to promote Summerslam, Bryan spoke on a wide variety of topics. One of these topics was what the hardest part of his new job is.

Bryan says the hardest part of being the Smackdown LIVE general manager is being around wrestling again:

“The hardest part actually is not the task of being the GM, it’s more so being around wrestling and not being able to actually wrestle. That’s the hardest part. The other stuff is …. I feel like I’m not the greatest general manager in the history of general managers, but I do OK and I’m learning as I go. I try to just do my best with it” (Source: Fox Sports).

He also thinks Apollo Crews might just steal the show at Summerslam when he faces the Miz for the Intercontinental Championship.

Have to feel for him. It is probably really difficult for him being around the company when all he wants to do is wrestle. I personally am happy he decided to return as at least he can be around the company and help out some of the young guys!
