WWF 2001: WWF vs WCW Part 8 Preview Survivor Series “The Poison Is Here”

(Before I get into the summary portion I made the decision to only to focus on one match during this build for the main reason being that in real life to keep this realistic sort of the Winner Take All match was the only match the WWE put any time into building for Survivor Series so that is why that is the only build you will see as the other matches are included in the other matches included section of this preview)

Survivor Series is now on it’s way and the war between WWF and WCW is charging full steam ahead to Survivor Series. The WWF has now gotten there WWF Championship back but so has WCW getting there World Title back as now Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon/Eric Bischoff are pushing there chips to the front of the table for one match to potentially end this war once and for all. With everything on the line Shane and Eric are forced to play another trump card on the advice of WCW’s Franchise Player but Vince counters with his own trump card that could possibly bring the war to end with a poison that once destroyed WCW…

Eric Bischoff and Shane McMahon interrupt and Bischoff does the talking cutting a promo accepting Vince’s challenge for Survivor Series and challenges Vince to do something he did not do in 1998 and that is fight him as Eric Bischoff challenges Vince McMahon to a street fight on next week’s Raw and Vince accepts Bischoff’s challenge as Vince tells Bischoff he will gladly kick the hell out of Bischoff next week like the bitch he was during the Monday Night Wars and that Shane should watch the beating he will give to Bischoff and learn how to take a beating like a man instead of being a pussy. In a backstage segment between WCW Comissioner William Regal and WWF Comissioner Mick Foley where Foley was in Regal’s office throwing stuff all over the place and setting up his own stuff as Regal and Foley get into a argument where Regal wants Stone Cold to defend his WWF Championship against Sting in a rematch while Foley made a European Title match between Bradshaw and Hurricane Helms and Foley proposes a WWF Tag Team Championship match between Austin and his partner Chris Jericho against the new champions The Filthy Animals and if The Animals win then Sting gets his rematch but if Austin and Jericho win then The Rock gets his rematch against DDP for the WCW World Championship and Regal agrees as Foley then books Sting in a match against Kurt Angle with Regal spitting his tea out in shock.

-During the night, DDP celebrated his WCW World Championship victory cutting a promo about how he defeated The Rock before he was interrupted by The Rock as The Rock and DDP got into a brawl and The Rock seemingly had the upper hand until Raven’s Flock hit the ring as The Flock and DDP beat down Rock as DDP finished it off by hitting The Rock with a Diamond Cutter. WCW’s Rob Van Dam retained his WWF Hardcore Championship against The WWF’s Kane by orders of Vince McMahon, Booker T retained the WCW United States Championship against Billy Gunn but after the match got the hell out of dodge when The Undertaker made his way down to the ring. Later that week on Smackdown, Eric Bischoff and Shane McMahon came out with the WCW Roster as Shane cut a promo about how dissapointed he was in Hurricane and The Filthy Animals in losing there respective titles as Shane told WCW that Bischoff and Shane are taking the biggest risk since they have started to invade the WWF which leads to Bischoff taking over and announcing a battle royal between the members of WCW with the winner facing Stone Cold Steve Austin later in the main event for the WWF Championship as Bischoff proceeded to announce Team WCW to be Sting/Booker T/DDP/Shane McMahon and a mystery teammate to be revealed at a later date. – The following week on Monday Night Raw, Vince McMahon came out with the entire WWF Roster as the superstars gathered around ringside as Vince would cut a promo about how Survivor Series and how the WWF would wipe WCW off the face of the earth and that he was going to beat Eric Bischoff to a bloody pulp in there street fight before Vince McMahon introduces the 5 superstars that will represent the WWF at Survivor Series to be the WWF Champion and one half of the WWF Tag Team Champions Stone Cold Steve Austin, His WWF Tag Team Championship Partner Chris Jericho, The Undertaker, The Rock and Vince reveals the last man to be none other then…himself Vincent Kennedy McMahon which leads to Eric Bischoff coming out on the stage and Bischoff cut a promo about how he was not surprised that Vince would make himself a part of Team WWF for Survivor Series but that he is going the last remaining brain cells out of Vince McMahon later tonight in there Street Fight and then take the WWF away from him at Survivor Series and that nothing is going to satisfy him and Shane then seeing the WWF destroy it’s self from the inside before proclaiming that a member of the WWF will turn on the WWF tonight and be a part of Team WCW at Survivor Series which leaves the WWF superstars confused as they flank Vince as Shane and Bischoff after a break backstage were confident there was no way Vince was going to see what’s coming to him tonight. During the night the WWF Roster held a meeting with The Rock leading it but Stone Cold was not at the meeting as The Undertaker called out the traitor but no one would stand up as Chris Jericho who had arrived late then asked the question “Where was Stone Cold?” and later in the night before the WWF Tag Team Title Match, The Undertaker and Kane went into Austin’s locker room and confronted him about why he was not at the meeting and Austin told Taker saying not only was the meeting a waste of time but that they should know by now Stone Cold does what he wants when he wants and then Austin said maybe he should not be the one under suspicsion before looking right at Kane as Taker and Austin glared at Kane before Raw went to commercial. During the night, DDP retained his WCW World Championship against The Rock after using his feet on the ropes during the roll up which led to DDP and The Rock brawling all the way backstage as the two were forced to be seperated by WWF and WCW Officials, Stone Cold and Chris Jericho retained the WWF Tag Team Championship against The Impact Players but during the match Stone Cold at one point accidently hit Jericho when he was beating up The Impact Players as Jericho retaliated with a flying forearm to Austin when he was setting up for the Stunner which led to Lance Storm attempting to take advantage but Jericho broke up the pin and begged for a tag as Austin tagged him only for Austin to lay out Jericho with the Stone Cold Stunner, Austin was seemingly going to leave until dashing back to break up Storm’s pin attempt on Jericho as Austin took care of Storm with a Stone Cold Stunner then took out Credible with the Stunner before putting Jericho on top of Storm for the victory as Stone Cold and Jericho got into a argument after the match

– In the main event, Eric Bischoff and Vince McMahon would have there street fight and just when Vince was about to smash Bischoff’s skull in with a cinderblock WCW wrestlers DDP, Booker T, Shane McMahon and Sting stormed out to the ring and started to attack Vince until Team WWF made there own way out as a huge brawl occured where Booker took out Taker with a Sisscors Kick, The Rock took out Booker T with the Rock Bottom, DDP hit The Rock with the Diamond Cutter, Jericho laid out DDP with a Steel Chair, Sting took out Jericho with the Scorpion Death Drop and Stone Cold took Shane out with the Stone Cold Stunner before locking Sting in the Million Dollar Dream. Suddenly out of no where Ric Flair makes his way out to the ring and gets in the ring as Austin has Sting in the Million Dollar Dream as Austin does not realize Flair is in the ring until Flair hits Austin in the back with the Steel Chair making Austin break the hold and then Flair whacks Austin over the head with the chair before laying Vince out with the chair before beating the hell out of Vince with right hands making Vince bleed as Bischoff pinned Vince for the win as Raw ended with Sting, Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff celebrate to end Raw. Later that week on Smackdown, Stone Cold and Chris Jericho opened up Smackdown defending the WWF Tag Team Championship in a rematch with The Filthy Animals as tensions were high between Austin and Jericho through out the match and when Y2J went for a top rope missle dropkick on Mysterio, Mysterio ducked and Jericho accidently hit Austin leading to Mysterio hitting Jericho with the 619 and West Coast Pop as Mysterio and Kidman regained the titles and after the match Austin and Jericho shared some words and when Austin was about to leave Jericho pulled him back into the ring as the two brawled leading to Austin hitting Jericho with the Stone Cold Stunner as Austin left but he stopped on the stage before turning around and going back to the ring and getting in it to deliver a 2nd Stone Cold Stunner to Jericho. During the night Austin and Jericho continued to brawl all through out backstage in backstage segments before Jericho challenged Austin to a WWF Title Match for Raw which Austin accepted before the two got into another brawl backstage.

– Ric Flair appeared in a taped vignette cutting a promo about his return on Monday Night Raw saying that he and Sting were the embodiment of WCW and they saw Vince McMahon destroy what they built together after he had come back from being in the WWF in 1993. Flair went on to say the only reason he is here is to help Sting and WCW take down the WWF and put Vince McMahon out of wrestling and they will do it at Survivor Series as Flair reveals himself to be the final member of Team WCW for Survivor Series. Team WCW member Booker T defeated Tajiri as a tune up match to get himself ready for Survivor Series while later in the night in the main event Sting faced The Rock as Sting defeated The Rock when Flair came out with the ref knocked out and low blowed The Rock leading to Sting hitting the Scorpion Death Drop on The Rock for the victory as Sting, Flair and WCW World Champion DDP came out to join in and proceeded to beat down The Rock as the beatdown ended with Sting choking The Rock out with the baseball bat as Flair had The Rock locked in the Figure 4 as Smackdown ended with Sting, Flair and DDP standing tall over The Rock. The following week on Monday Night Raw, Vince McMahon opened the show cutting a promo about Stone Cold and Chris Jericho’s WWF Title Match but more about Ric Flair’s return last week and he admitted he was surprised by Sting being able to bring Ric Flair into this war but Vince ends up saying he had a announcement that he gaurn damn teed would signal the end of WCW as Vince announced that he was going to inject the WCW with a lethal dose of poison which leads to Eric Bischoff coming out interrupting and Bischoff cuts a promo about the empty threats Vince has made but Bischoff says that at Survivor Series the only guarn damn tee that will be made will be the end of Vince McMahon as the owner of the WWF and that no “poison” Vince McMahon attempts to inject will stop them leading to Vince talking again saying Bischoff already created the poison and that poison he was talking about as suddenly the nWo logo appears on the titantron as Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash’s faces show up on the titantron to the dismay of Eric Bischoff as Vince says that at Survivor Series there will only be one true survivor and that is Vince McMahon and the WWF as Vince threw the mic down and left the ring with his theme playing as Bischoff looked like he had seen a ghost. In a backstage segment after the promo Eric Bischoff went backstage as he still had this look like he had seen a ghost as Shane McMahon was standing in Bischoff’s office with a glare on his face as Bischoff tried to tell Shane that he had no idea the nWo was coming and Shane told Bischoff that he better hope to god that Vince is wrong about the nWo because if he is he does not give a damn about there deal he will kick Bischoff’s ass himself. During the night, The Undertaker faced DDP for the WCW World Championship and when Taker hit the Last Ride, Booker T came out and hit Taker with a Steel Chair in the back causing a DQ but Taker no sold it and Taker was about to chokeslam Booker until DDP low blowed Taker and was setting up the piledriver until The Rock ran out to the ring and got into a brawl with DDP as The Rock clotheslined DDP out of the ring as Booker escaped also.

– In the main event Stone Cold Steve Austin and Chris Jericho faced each other for the WWF Championship and toward the end of the match Jericho had the Walls of Jericho on Austin until Sting and Ric Flair came out and attacked Jericho as they proceeded to beat down Austin and Jericho causing the match to end in a no contest as DDP, Booker T and Shane McMahon came out as Team WCW started to beat down Austin and Jericho until The Rock and Vince McMahon even came out to even up the odds but Team WCW still had the numbers advantage until The Undertaker’s music hits as Taker rode out to the ring on his bike as Taker helped Team WWF fight off Team WCW and there was even a moment where Taker and Sting got into a staredown until Sting just pointed the bat at Taker and left the ring as Team WWF stood tall to end Monday Night Raw with Team WCW on the ramp looking pissed off. Later that week on Smackdown, Eric Bischoff came out to the ring with WCW Commissioner William Regal and the WCW roster to talk about Vince McMahon’s announcement about the nWo coming into the WWF as WCW’s “Poison” Bischoff admits that the nWo was WCW’s greatest creation but that the nWo was also WCW’s ultimate demise and Bischoff admits he was a card carrying member of the nWo but he needs WCW united at Survivor Series because he does not want to lose to Vince McMahon again which leads to Ric Flair grabbing the mic and Flair cut a promo telling Bischoff he did not trust him during the war with the WWF and he certainly does not trust him and that the only reason he came to help WCW was because Sting needed him and damn it WCW needed Ric Flair and as far as he is concerned he does not trust a damn word Bischoff says and that he speaks for WCW when he says that Eric Bischoff is leading WCW to there end once again at Survivor Series but that at Survivor Series, Team WCW will be the ones to eliminate Vince McMahon from wrestling and if the nWo gets in there way then they will gladly fight them off too as Flair left the ring as the rest of the WCW roster followed him with only Regal staying in the ring with Bischoff. Through out the night Bischoff attempted to mend things over with members of WCW by giving Booker T a WWF Title Match against Stone Cold Steve Austin, DDP and Shane McMahon would face The Undertaker in a Handicap Match, RVD would face The Rock and Bischoff gave Sting his WWF Title rematch against the winner of Stone Cold vs Booker as Stone Cold ended up retaining the WWF Championship against Booker T where during the match Jericho attempted to cost Austin the WWF Title until RVD came out and kicked Austin in the face causing the DQ and went for the Five-Star Frog Splash but Austin moved leading to Austin hitting the stunner on RVD but when he got up and turned around Jericho cleaned his clock with a Steel Chair. The Rock defeated RVD but after the match was attacked by Ric Flair with Flair taking The Rock’s legs out before locking him in the Figure 4 until WWF and WCW Officials could get Flair to let The Rock go while in the main event The Undertaker defeated DDP and Shane McMahon with a roll up on DDP in the Handicap Match but after the match DDP and Shane attacked Taker as Shane hit Taker with the Leap of Faith Elbow Drop through the announcers table as Smackdown ended.

– On the final Raw before Survivor Series, Chris Jreicho and Stone Cold were told by Vince McMahon to patch things up because they need to be united against Team WCW and before Austin’s WWF Title match against Sting, Austin and Jericho sort of kind of bury the hatchet but there is still obvious tension between Austin and Jericho. Also during the night The Undertaker faced DDP for the WCW World Championship but DDP retained the title after Shane McMahon cost The Undertaker the title. The Rock defeated Booker T and after the match The Rock called out Ric Flair to face him in a match on Smackdown, Chris Jericho faced RVD for the WWF Hardcore Championship and Sting helps RVD retain the Hardcore Title and in the main event Stone Cold defended his WWF Championship against Sting as Austin had hit the Stone Cold Stunner until Team WCW comes out and starts attacking Austin leading to Team WWF coming out as a huge brawl occured and after Austin takes out Shane, Jericho has a Steel Chair with Austin’s back turned to Jericho but Jericho does not hit Austin as Raw ends with it appearing to be Austin and Jericho are on the same page. Later that week on the final Smackdown before Survivor Series, Eric Bischoff came out on Smackdown and called out Vince McMahon and proceed cut a worked shoot promo about Vince to his face about him copying what WCW and even what ECW did and called it “Attitude” and how he made wrestling a “dirty word” and that now he is stooping to the level of bringing the nWo his greatest creation into the WWF just to kill off WCW at Survivor Series as Bischoff proceeds to tell Vince that the nWo will dissapoint him just like Team WWF will dissapoint him after Team WCW defeats Team WWF at Survivor Series he is going to look him in the eyes and fire him in public in front of the damn world and at this point Stone Cold Steve Austin comes up behind Eric Bischoff and turns him around and hits him with the Stone Cold Stunner as Vince stands over Bischoff and grabs the mic and tells Bischoff that at Survivor Series, Team WWF and the nWo will wipe WCW off the face of the earth once and for all. During the night Booker T and The Undertaker had a No Mercy rematch but it ended in a no contest when both men attacked the referee but The Undertaker got the last word hitting Booker with the chokeslam and later in the night in the main event Ric Flair comes out but DDP attacks The Rock during Flair’s entrance as Flair ends up leaving as the match between Flair and The Rock becomes a in-promptu match between WCW World Champion DDP and The Rock and toward the end DDP hits WWF Official Earl Hebner with the Diamond Cutter as the match gets thrown out and another huge brawl between Team WWF and Team WCW occurs as everyone gets knocked down except Stone Cold who stands tall after hitting WCW World Champion DDP with the stunner but as Austin is celebrating with Steveweisers the lights in arena turn black and white as the nWo music plays as Smackdown ends with the nWo music playing and Austin standing in the center of a black and white ring looking up at the stage with the nWo logo on the titantron with a look like he does not trust the nWo.

    • I made a mistake on it I do make mistakes and I do apologize but I own up to that so it’ll be better explained once I get the full show written up btw I am going to consider writing a opinion piece on Conor McGregor’s recent comments ripping Brock and other WWE stars and I will admit this right now I am a fan of WWE/Pro Wrestling and UFC/MMA and of course I am a fan of Conor so I may or may not write one on that so I will keep that opinion fair and unbiased but it could be a very interesting read
