First Blood Match for the WWF Championship Sting (c) defends against Stone Cold Steve Austin
– The night after SummerSlam on Monday Night Raw, near the end of Raw, Eric Bischoff and Shane McMahon stand in the ring with the WCW roster in the ring as Shane talks about SummerSlam and admit that WCW did lose some matches but they came out of SummerSlam with the one thing they wanted the most and that was the WWF Championship as Eric Bischoff then takes over introducing the new WWF Champion Sting. Sting makes his way out to the ring with the WWF Title on his shoulder and Sting cuts a promo about SummerSlam and how he did what he said he was going to do and that was defeat Stone Cold Steve Austin all by himself and take the WWF’s crown jewel away from them because now he stands here the WWF Champion, Vince McMahon ends up interrupting and comes out on the stage and gets in the ring as Vince cuts a promo about SummerSlam also and tells Sting two things that number one as much as he hates his guts he admits Stone Cold Steve Austin is the toughest son of a bitch in the WWF for a reason because he did not give up he fought bloodied and battered and the only reason Sting won was because Austin was unconsious which brings Vince to play the footage of SummerSlam that showed Earl Hebner seemingly calling for the bell after Austin had accidently Hebner with the Stunner.
– Vince goes on to explain that last night when Hebner was calling for the bell that Stone Cold should of been DQED for attacking a WWF Official and should still be the WWF Champion and that even though he would love nothing more to take the title off of Sting right there he can’t because unfortunley a referees decision even a WCW referees decision is final which means Sting is the WWF Champion as much as it turns his stomach. Vince then brings up however that Sting and Stone Cold will settle this once and for all at Unforgiven because Vince announces that Stone Cold will be getting his rematch at Unforgiven against Sting for the WWF Championship. Sting ends up with a ice cold stare pulls the baseball bat and is pointing right at Vince’s throat as Vince is leaving until the glass shatters as Stone Cold Steve Austin ends up driving the giant beer truck out to the ring and gets out of the truck as Shane McMahon instantly bailed out of the ring and ran through the crowd as Austin while being taunted by Bischoff just goes and grabs the hose to the beer truck and starts spraying Sting and all of the WCW Roster with beer as Austin all bandaged up gets on top of the beer truck and starts to drink some Steveweisers as Sting, Bischoff and the WCW roster are all soaked in beer as Raw came ot a close. On Smackdown, Eric Bischoff opens up the show talking about Stone Cold spraying all of the WCW roster and Sting with beer on Raw and Bischoff announces that tonight Austin would be forced to put his number one contendership on the line against Rob Van Dam and that if he won against Van Dam tonight then on Raw, Stone Cold would face himself Eric Bischoff which leads to Austin coming out on the stage and telling Bischoff that he accepts the match with Van Dam but tells Bischoff to tell Sting that at Unforgiven his ass belongs to Stone Cold and that after he gets through beating RVD’s ass that on Raw he was going to stomp a mudhole in Bischoff’s ass and walk it dry and that was the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so
– Later that night on Smackdown, Stone Cold ends up retaining his number one contendership defeating Rob Van Dam despite the interference of Eric Bischoff who attempted to screw Austin out of the match as Austin ends up defeating Van Dam as Bischoff looked absolutely shocked as realization set in that not only Austin would still face Sting at Unforgiven but that now he would have to face him on Raw as Smackdown came to a end with Austin drinking his beer. The following week on Raw, Eric Bischoff opened up Raw cutting a promo about his match with Stone Cold Steve Austin and says that he put himself in this match and he won’t take himself out but he can make changes to the match and announces that the match will now be a lumberjack match and that the lumberjacks will all be WCW wrestlers until Vince McMahon comes out to the ring and announces that he does like Eric’s idea of it being a lumberjack match but he’ll be damned if he tries to weseal his way out of the match and announces that instead of all the lumberjacks being WCW wrestlers instead 6 of them will be WWF wrestlers while the other 6 are WCW wrestlers as Vince sarcastically wishes Bischoff good luck as Bischoff is furious as Vince left with a smirk on his face.
– Later that night on Raw, Stone Cold came out for the main event with the WWF and WCW wrestlers around ringside as then Eric Bischoff’s music hit and Austin was waiting for Bischoff but then WCW’s Test comes in the ring and attacks Austin as the other WCW lumberjacks which were Chavo Guerrero, Hugh Morris, The WCW World Tag Team Champions Sean O’Hare and Chuck Palumbo and Hurricane Helms get into the ring and start attacking Austin as very quickly the WWF lumberjacks that consisted of The APA, Billy Gunn, The Big Show and The Hardy Boyz as the brawl spilled out of the ring and all the way backstage but Test got the last word hitting Austin with a big boot but after the WWF/WCW wrestlers brawl got to the backstage area. Sting’s music hits and Sting comes out to the ring and Sting enters the ring and hits Austin with a Stinger Splash as Austin was getting up in the corner as Sting started to beat down Austin and then Eric Bischoff comes out with a wheel barrow of cinderblocks as Bischoff and Sting put a cinderblock on Austin’s head and Sting uses the baseball bat to smash the cinderblock against Austin’s head as Austin was left in a pool of blood as Raw ended with Bischoff and Sting raising there arms with Sting holding up the baseball bat
– Later that week on Smackdown, Eric Bischoff and Sting came out to open up Smackdown and Bischoff did the talking cutting a promo about what they did on Raw as Bischoff says that he loves it when a plan comes together and announces that there is going to be a change to the WWF Championship Match at Unforgiven before giving the mic to Sting as Sting goes on to cut a promo and announces that after Raw when he busted the cinderblock on Austin’s head and saw him bleed like he did at SummerSlam, Sting says he wants to see Austin bleed even more and proceeds to announce that the match at Unforgiven is now a First Blood Match. Sting finishes off by saying at Unforgiven that he would drain the remaining venom and blood from Austin to keep the WWF Championship. Later that night Sting defeated Spike Dudley as a “tune up” for Unforgiven but after the match Sting beats Spike Dudley to a bloody pulp as he forces Molly Holly to watch the beat down as Sting ends the beatdown with a Scorpion Death Drop as Smackdown ended with Sting going up the ramp watching the EMT’s and Molly check on a bloodied Spike Dudley as Sting had nothing but a ice cold stare on his face.
– The following week on Raw, In a taped vignette Sting was in a graveyard in Toronto Ontario Canada at the “R.I.P Austin 3:16” grave as he was cutting a promo about how at SummerSlam he did not finish the job but that at Unforgiven he would finish the job once and for all. Sting then would take a dead rattlesnake out of the bag as symbolism as Sting would say that this dead rattlesnake would be the fate of Stone Cold at Unforgiven before throwing it in the grave as Sting buried the dead rattlesnake. Later that night Sting faced WWF Commissioner William Regal and Sting ended up defeating Regal with the Scorpion Death Drop and after the match Sting was seemingly going to do the same thing to Regal he did to Spike but WWE Officials were quick to come out to avoid the same fate that happened to Spike happening to Regal. Later that week on Smackdown, Sting arrived in the building in a limo with WCW President Eric Bischoff and they had to quickly get out of the way because Stone Cold’s pick up truck almost ran his ass over and when the truck stopped. Stone Cold came out of the truck and got into a brawl with Sting in the parking lot until security could break the two up. Later in the night however Stone Cold came back during a WWF European Title match between new champion Hurricane Helms and challenger and former champion Matt Hardy and beat the hell out of Hurricane Helms as Matt and Lita quickly got the hell out of dodge when Austin’s music hits as Austin hit Helms with the Stone Cold Stunner and even hit the WCW Official Charles Robinson who was refereeing the match with the Stone Cold Stunner as Austin got on the mic pissed off and said that at Unforgiven that Sting was not only going to bleed for the WWF but he’s going to bleed for Stone Cold Steve Austin and that som bitch of a WWF Championship is coming back home with Stone Cold and that was the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so.
– The following week on Raw, Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Hurricane Helms with the Stone Cold Stunner but after the match Stone Cold saw Sting on top of the ramp and Stone Cold right away got the hell out of the ring and ran up the ramp as Sting did not move as Austin clotheslined Sting down but Austin as he was beating him down was noticing Sting was not fighting back and when Austin turned Sting on his back he realized it was a fake Sting and took the mask off and the fake Sting was revealed to be Raven’s Flock member Kanyon as Raven’s flock ended up coming out and attacking Austin as Austin was fighting them off until The Brothers of Destruction came out and started to fight with Raven’s Flock to the backstage area as Kanyon was left alone and tried to attack Austin but Austin knocked Kanyon out with a right hand but when he turned around the real Sting hit Austin right in the head with the baseball bat knocking him out cold as Sting stood tall over Austin to end Raw. There would be no Smackdown due to the 9/11 incident

– On the last Raw before Unforgiven, Sting opened the show as Sting cut a promo about Unforgiven saying that he would make Austin bleed again and remain the WWF Champion while eliminating The Rattlesnake from the WWF Championship for picture for good which leads to Spike Dudley coming out on the stage and cutting a promo telling Sting he did not forget what Sting did to him 2 and a half weeks ago on Smackdown and announces that they are going to have a rematch tonight by orders of WWF Commissioner William Regal in a Street Fight. Sting later in the night defeats Spike in the Street Fight with the Scorpion Deathlock after Spike tried to fight through it but had no other option but after the match Stone Cold’s music hits and Stone Cold drove his pick up truck out to the ring as Austin got out of the truck as Sting met him outside of the ring and the two brawled and brawled into the ring as Austin ended up backdropping Sting onto the pick up truck which shattered the front window as Austin then got out of the ring and got onto the truck and took Sting to the top of the truck and gave him a Stone Cold Stunner as Raw ended with Stone Cold celebrating by drinking beers as some members of the WCW roster came out and got Sting off the top of the truck and were taking him backstage. On the last Smackdown before Unforgiven, Stone Cold faced Chavo Guerrero who wanted to stand up for WCW after what Austin did to Sting on Raw as Austin ended up defeating Chavo easily with the Stone Cold Stunner but after the match Sting was seen on the titantron in the parking lot with the baseball bat as Sting ends up destroying with the baseball bat as Austin sprinted out of the ring to the backstage area and when they came back from commercial Austin got to the parking lot but Sting was gone as his pick up truck had absolutely been destroyed by Sting using his baseball bat.

Later in the night The Rock defeated Test to retain the WCW World Title but after the match Booker T attacked The Rock hitting him in the face with the United States Title as Booker ended up choking The Rock out with his shirt until WCW Officials could come out and get Booker off of The Rock. Later in the night in a backstage segment William Regal to punish Booker for his attack on The Rock ordered him to defend his WCW United States Title against Tajiri and later in the night Booker defeated Tajiri to retain the title in convincing fashion but after the match Booker continued to attack Tajiri and hit a Book-End to Tajiri on the title to send a message to The Rock.
– On Smackdown, Booker T and Shane McMahon come out and Booker cuts a promo about what happened on Raw saying that even though The Rock beat him at SummerSlam as far as he is concerned not only is he still the WCW United States Champion but the fact is that ever since WCW started invading the WWF he has been WCW’s MVP and as WCW’s MVP he wants his World Title back and announces that he will be using that rematch clause at Unforgiven. Booker then challenges The Rock to find 2 partners to face him tonight in a 6 man tag team match against him and the WCW World Tag Team Champions Sean O’Hare and Chuck Palumbo and later in the night The Rock goes into The APA’s office and The APA agree to be The Rock’s tag team partners later on in the night. Later in the night in the 6 man tag team match between Booker/O’Hare/Palumbo vs The Rock/The APA, Booker T ends up getting the victory for his team by pinning The Rock when after he hit Sean O’Hare with a Rock Bottom, Shane McMahon got on the apron distracting Rock leading to Booker hitting The Rock when he turned around with the Book-End and got the pin as Booker left the ring and was doing the taunt that he wants his title back. On Raw, Booker T and Shane opened up Raw as Shane announced the main event of Raw would be him challenging The Rock for the WCW World Title and Shane says that after he defeats The Rock he will gladly do the right thing and hand the title right back to it’s rightful owner Booker T, Booker proceeds to take over the talking cutting a promo saying that not only will Shane win the title but that he will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt he is better champion then The Rock ever has been because this time unlike last week he would voluntarly put the WCW United States Title on the line against any WWF or WCW Superstar who wanted to accept the challenge.
– The Rock ends up interrupting proceeding to mock Booker T and Shane and mocks the recent history of the WCW World Title and The Rock even though he is a part of the WWF he still insults Stephanie by saying the “Shane this WCW Title is just like your sister everybody gets…a turn” line and Shane proceeds to interrupt The Rock telling him to instead of telling him what he’s going to do to him later tonight Shane then tells The Rock to come down to the ring and just bring it bitch. Later in the night, Booker T retained the WCW United States Title against Rhyno who accepted the challenge as Booker avoided a Gore and hit the Axe Kick to get the victory. After Booker retained the US Title, The Rock and Shane McMahon had there WCW World Title match as The Rock retained the title despite the repeated interference of Booker T when Rhyno came back and laid Booker out with a gore leading to Rock hitting The Rock Bottom on Shane to get the 3 count for the victory. – On Raw, The Rock retained the WCW World Title defeating Christian with Shane McMahon as the guest time keeper and Booker T as the guest commentator as Booker and Shane constantly interfered but The Rock was able to win the match and in a backstage interview after the match Shane announced that the refereeing in the match was atrocious and that at Unforgiven it will be not the same story because as the owner of WCW and since it will be a WCW World Title match Shane announces that he is going to be making himself the special guest referee.
