Jim Ross Praises NXT Takeover The End From Top To Bottom

NXT Takeover The End was this past week and the show was another good one. It seems like every Takeover special that NXT puts on ends up being great. We saw the first ever NXT steel cage match between Samoa Joe and Finn Balor. From top to bottom we saw some incredible matches highlighted by a great match between Austin Aries and Shinsuke Nakamura. Jim Ross praised the event from top to bottom on his recent blog JRSBARBQ.com. Here were some of the highlights:

JR had nothing but kind words for the recent NXT Takeover The End special:

“Caught the WWE NXT TAKEOVER TV special on the WWE Network and it was a compelling & entertaining pro wrestling, TV show. Smart, logical booking, believable in ring action, crisp execution and excellent TV production. Presenting pro wrestling isn’t a complex matter as some may think and when the necessary and essential elements are in place it can be such a joy to watch” (Source: JRSBARBQ.com).

He went on to praise many of the talents involved in the event (including the announce team):

“Samoa Joe vs Finn Balor was a timeless, classic wrestling match. Both men are a credit to our business. Enjoyed the work of Tom Phillips and Cory Graves as the 2 man announce booth feels less busy and more efficient than most 3 man pairings. Proud of the work Tom & Cory did in focusing in the action and diligently trying to get the talents over. NXT has done a notable job making their tag team scene have significant meaning. American Alpha & The Revival reminded me why I’m still a fan of tag team wrestling. Loved Nakamura vs Aries on many levels as it was one of the best TV matches on WWE TV in recent memory. Hats off to Asuka & the much improved Nia Jax. I got caught up in their physicality. No reason that women’s bouts can’t be physically intense” (Source:  JRSBARBQ.com).
