NXT Takeover The End is Wednesday June 8th 2016! Here are IWNerd.com’s official predictions for the event:
Andrade “Cien” Almas vs. Tye Dillinger.
- This will be the NXT TV debut of Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas (formerly La Sombra). Expect the newcomer to get a big win against the talented Tye Dillinger. I am a fan of Tye but it makes no sense for him to beat Andrade in his debut!
- Official Prediction: Andrade “Cien” Almas.
American Alpha (Jason Jordan and Chad Gable) (c) vs. The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) For The NXT Tag Team Championships.
- This should be a phenomenal match. Their last tilt at NXT Takeover Dallas was really exciting and I expect this one to top it! I expect American Alpha to keep their titles here and keep their reign going a little longer.
- Official Prediction: American Alpha retain.
Asuka vs. Nia Jax For The NXT Women’s Championship.
- I think Nia Jax has improved a lot over the last couple months. She takes on Asuka for the NXT Women’s title after she defeated both Carmella and Alexa Bliss to become the number one contender. I personally feel like they are saving Asuka vs Bayley for NXT Takeover Brooklyn and Jax is just filling space here. I expect a good match but Asuka to retain her title!
- Official Prediction: Asuka.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Austin Aries.
- Two very talented guys. This match could very well steal the show and be the match of the night after this one is said and done. I think the WWE are building up Shinsuke Nakamura and will keep him riding high on a winning streak. A loss here to Nakamura won’t hurt Aries, especially if he is able to prove he belongs and they put on a show.
- Official Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura.
Samoa Joe (c) vs. Finn Bálor For The NXT Championship in a Steel Cage Match.
- I am excited for the steel cage aspect of this match as it will be unique and something different. This feud needed the added stipulation after facing each other many times prior. Many have assumed the NXT Takeover The End name is simply referring to the end of the feud between these two (who have been feuding since NXT Takeover London back in December). I expect Samoa Joe to retain his title and Finn will be moving up to the main roster. I feel like I predict that every time but to me there is nothing else for Finn to really do in NXT unless they want to put him in a feud with Nakamura.
- Official Prediction: Samoa Joe retains.
I also believe the NXT Takeover The End name is referring to not only the end of Samoa Joe vs Finn Balor but the end of NXT takeover specials in Full Sail University. The brand has gotten so big they can sell out bigger venues and this would just make sense.
