Corey Graves could be getting a big promotion.
You might know Corey Graves as the voice of NXT and from all of the WWE kickoff shows (RAW/ PPV’s). With the news of a WWE brand split, plenty of speculation has risen about the announce teams for both RAW and Smackdown. With Byron Saxton performing duties for both RAW and Smackdown right now, we can assume that he will be replaced on Smackdown when the brand split happens. Corey Graves recently teased on Twitter that he might be that guy.
He tweeted to Mauro Ranallo (Smackdown lead announcer) with a nice teaser:
One of these days Mauro, you’ll realize that I’m a genius….How does Tuesday sound? https://t.co/HVQDT1WTEv

In case you missed it, Smackdown announced it was going live on Tuesday’s which is an obvious reference here by Corey Graves.
I would be a big fan of this move. This would mean RAW would consist of Michael Cole, JBL and Byron Saxton. This would leave Mauro Ranallo, Jerry the King Lawler and Corey Graves as the Smackdown crew.
I am a big fan of Corey Graves and have really liked him in WWE NXT and on all the kickoff shows. I think he is a great fit to head over to Smackdown and take an official role with that brand. I think him paired with Mauro and the King could be a lot of fun and I am looking forward to it.

Update: He tweeted that it was a joke…. Or maybe he blew the surprise?
Man, I wish EVERY time I told a joke Twitter got all excited like that.
