Seth Rollins Sportscenter Recap: Talks About His Injury, Rehab and Return

SportscenterSeth Rollins Sportscenter appearance.

Seth Rollins appeared on Sportscenter this week with former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman. Here were the highlights:

  • He asked Coach if he missed him!
  • He says his return was wild since he has been out for 7 months and envisioned his return the moment he got hurt. He said it was  really special and surreal to hear the crowd react to him like that.
  • He says he didn’t know his injury would be that bad when it happened. There was a ton of adrenaline pumping and he didn’t feel too much. He said he had to finish the match and defend his title. When he got the results from the MRI the doctor told him he is going to be out for a while.
  • Gives credit to his surgeons and rehab staff that helped him get back so quickly (typically injuries like that can be 9-12 months, he was out 7).  He says there are no rules for rehab, it is all about how hard you want to work. He did two a days for rehab sessions.
  • He says he missed being in front of the crowd and he didn’t know anything else to do other than work his tail off to get back.
  • The biggest challenge for him was an emotional challenge to accept he was going to miss WrestleMania 32. He says it really broke his heart that he was not able to defend his title at WrestleMania 32. He tries not to dwell on it.
  • He says there is some pressure heading back into a top role of WWE. He is used to it though and he thrives on pressure.
  • He loves the new additions to the roster. He says Iron sharpens Iron and the new talent coming up from NXT and other companies is only going to be great for the WWE.
  • Mentions Apollo Crews and Sami Zayn as guys he wants to face. He says he is looking forward to facing AJ Styles in the WWE. They wrestled in Iowa in front of a small crowd and he says he would like to have a series of matches with him in front of a larger crowd. Says Styles is one of his idols and a guy who he patterned himself after.
  • He is confident his knee is 100%. If it wasn’t he wouldn’t be here.
