Cody Rhodes aka Stardust Asks For WWE Release

Cody Rhodes.

It appears that Cody Rhodes (known as Stardust) has asked for his WWE release. On his personal twitter account @PrinceCGR, he released a statement saying he was asking for his release after almost 10 years with the company.

Here were the tweets:

Stardust was in the WWE Intercontinental Championship ladder match at WrestleMania 32. After that he hasn’t really been featured on WWE TV too much. It is unclear what caused him to ask for his release so we will update when he releases more information.

    • Good luck to him. He’s trending on twitter as we speak but most likely its another band-wagon “fake care” type of thing. I dont mean to sound so salty but I’ve never seen any tweets during Raw of people missing him or wishing he would get more TV time. But as soon as he ask for his release, all of a sudden the “im gonna miss him” tweets come out the woodworks. Personally it doesnt bother me that he’s leaving and I wish him well after he leaves, but see ya Stardust, its been real.
