On Friday, the WWE announced the releases of Alex Riley, Zeb Colter, El Torito and Hornswoggle from the company. Here is the official announcement from the WWE’s website:
“WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstars Cameron, Hornswoggle, Alex Riley, El Torito and Zeb Colter as of today, Friday, May 6, 2016. WWE wishes them the best in all of their future endeavors” (Source: WWE.com).
Zeb Colter recently appeared on WWE TV as Alberto Del Rio’s manager. Hornswoggle hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since early 2015. Alex Riley was working in NXT and is set to face off against Shinsuke Nakamura on NXT next week (taped show).
