Ryback Hints At Possibly Leaving The WWE

The WWE was recently in Dubai (results here) and one of their top radio hosts Myles sat down with Ryback for an interview (which you can watch above). Ryback expressed his displeasure of being on the WrestleMania 32 kick-off show a couple weeks ago against Kalisto. He also hints that he could be finished with the WWE soon.

Ryback on if he was happy with his match with Kalisto at WrestleMania 32:

“To be quite honest, absolutely not. The last 3 WrestleManias have not been great. I’m not going to go into a lot of detail on that but it would’ve been nice to have been on the show where both of us belong. The US Title definitely belongs on there. Hopefully next year, if there is a next year, that it will be a better experience” (Source: Youtube).

Ryback on his future with the WWE:

“I’ve heard in this business hard work doesn’t always pay off. So maybe The Big Guy has to go find another world where that does pay off. But you work really, really hard at something and you dedicate yourself, and you sometimes have to be told you’re somewhere else. That’s a tough pill to swallow time and time again but I’ve never stopped believing in myself and I never will” (Source: Youtube).

It appears that Ryback is hinting at leaving the WWE. He keeps saying things like if there is a next year that makes me think he might leave the company after his contract expires. I get his frustrations. A title match should always make the main card. Just goes to show you how poorly the WWE has booked the United States Championship over the past year.

Let us know your thoughts and opinions on Ryback and if you want him to remain with the WWE.

  1. not a big fan. he could probably get more over on the indy scene if he chose to do so. that said, there needs to be room for newer, fresher talents.

  2. Its a double edge sword for WWE wrestlers. If they dont get injured, eventually they get called “stale” or “boring”. If they get injured, they say “oh its too bad he got injured.”

  3. Totally agree that every title match should always be on the main show of all PPV’s. It’s beyond ridiculous when they’re on a pre show, or kickoff.

  4. Ryback when he was cutting those promos about his life and injuries. I actually like him then they stopped. He doesnt have it to be a heel. He would be great in a faction where he can be a bruiser. Ryback would have been better in the gimmick era. Having squash matches against the jobbers and built up to be an IC champ in the 90s
