The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson) are one of the biggest names in wrestling who are not working for the WWE. The duo are known for their superkicks, their high-flying moves and being a parody of professional wrestling in general. Many fans have asked why the Young Bucks aren’t in WWE due to their incredible talent. In an interview from a couple weeks back with Sports Illustrated, the Young Bucks talked about making a living without the WWE and what the WWE is missing out on by not having them on the roster.
Nick Jackson on becoming successful without the WWE
“You don’t need to make it with WWE to be a successful wrestler.. We’re trying to change that perception and prove otherwise. The last few years, we’ve done better financially than a lot of guys in the WWE. No one knows that, but it’s possible to make a living without them. It takes a lot of hustle, but it’s possible” (Source: Sports Illustrated).
Matt Jackson on the WWE missing out on the Young Bucks:
“But if they want to make money, then the WWE is missing out by not having us. We are a proven draw without the WWE machine behind us” (Source: Sports Illustrated).
The Young Bucks are an interesting case in professional wrestling. A lot of fans like myself enjoy their moves and their entertainment value. Other fans criticize their wrestling psychology and that they rip off other wrestlers. I think they would be really fun in the WWE and would become very well-loved. They spoke in the interview about being limited in what they would be able to do if they came to WWE and that Vince wouldn’t let them be themselves.
Would love to hear your opinion on the Young Bucks. Are you a fan? Would you like to see them in the WWE?
