WWE Battleground ’16
Battleground ’16 was headlined by a Shield Triple Threat match between Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. This was a match that had been wanted by fans forever. It turned out that the match was out-shined by another match on the card: Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens.
Longtime rivals, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, stole the show on that night, putting on an incredible match. The two guys showed why they have some of the best chemistry in WWE and told a great story in the ring.
It took 2 Helluva kicks to finally put Owens away. The reaction from social media and the crowd in attendance labelled this as a match of the year candidate right away and it is hard to argue against it.
The match received a 4.5/5 star rating from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.

I like this list. My only change would be to switch out the Raw vs. SmackDown match at Survivor Series for the Triple Threat Women’s Title match at WrestleMania. Keep up the great work!
