You can’t have a list on Survivor Series without one of the most infamous moments in WWE history on it. Survivor Series 1997 at the Molson Centre in Montreal, Quebec is an event that will never be forgotten in professional wrestling history.
A week prior to the event, Bret Hart signed a contract with WCW, beginning in December 1997. McMahon sought to prevent Hart from leaving the company as the champion, but Hart was unwilling to lose the title in his home country to Michaels – with whom he had a long feud both on-screen and off.
It was originally agreed between Vince McMahon, Shawn Michaels, and Bret Hart that the match would end in a disqualification, allowing Hart to keep the belt. Hart would lose the title to Michaels on a later date, not in his home country.
We all know what happened Shawn Michaels had Bret in the Sharpshooter when the referee called for the bell. Hart was ‘screwed’ out of the title by Vince McMahon.

Whether you thought this was the right or wrong move by Vince McMahon, the moment will go down in history. Not only one of the most memorable Survivor Series moments to happen but also in the conversation for all of WWE history.
