5) The Debut of the Elimination Chamber!
Did you know that one of the most devastating structures in WWE history, the Elimination Chamber, made its debut at Survivor Series? Pretty fitting for a match of that caliber, where the key objective is to SURVIVE.
Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff announced the creation of the chamber during the October 21st edition of Raw and scheduled the match for Survivor Series 2002.
The first elimination chamber featured: Triple H, Rob Van Dam, Shawn Michaels, Kane, Booker T and Chris Jericho. The match was for the World Heavyweight Championship. Shawn Michaels ended up winning the match after defeating Triple H, walking out with the belt.
Fun fact: Triple H was injured in the match after a ‘Five Star Frog Splash’ from RVD on top of the pod. It looks like RVD lands on his throat with his knee.

The Elimination Chamber became its own PPV event starting in 2010. Pretty interesting that it all began at Survivor Series!!!!
4) The Rock Turns Corporate
The Rock faced off against a corporate sponsored Mankind in the Survivor Series 1998, main event. This was also the final match of the tournament to determine a new WWF Champion.
During the match, the Rock had Mankind in the Sharpshooter, Vince McMahon at ringside called for the bell, awarding the match to the Rock. This was also paying homage to the infamous ‘Montreal Screwjob’ that happened the year before.
The Rock revealed that he had aligned himself with Vince McMahon, turning heel in the process. The next night on RAW, McMahon announced the Corporation faction, with the Rock as the ‘Corporate Champion’.

The Corporation was a part of many legendary WWE moments, including ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin giving them a beer bath!! Awesome that Survivor Series was the place where this all began!
