Step 5: After The Smackdown Match, Bryan & Rowan Viciously Assault Rey & Attempt To Rip His Mask Off
As I mentioned in step 4, I have Mysterio defeating Rowan on an episode of Smackdown before Wrestlemania 35. After this match I think that Bryan and Rowan will viciously assault Rey.
During the beatdown, I think that Bryan will focus on Mysterio’s mask, attempting to rip it off. He will say something like the material from his mask is polluting the earth (or something like that). I don’t think the mask will fully come off, but it will be really close.
I think that this could be a great way to get some heel heat on Bryan.
Step 6: Daniel Bryan vs Rey Mysterio Becomes A Mask vs Title Match At Wrestlemania 35
Based on the attack on Rey’s mask, I see us heading towards a mask vs Title match at Wrestlemania 35. This would obviously be Rey putting his mask on the line against Bryan’s WWE Title.
Bryan has said in a recent interview that he wants to do a mask vs hair or mask vs title match. I think that doing one with Rey would be a solid way to go.
This would add some extra stakes to the WWE Title match at the event.
