7) Chad Gable
Chad Gable is in the perfect spot right now to answer one of Seth Rollins’ open challenges. Wins or losses don’t really matter for him, it is really about showcasing his talents as a singles wrestler.
I can’t think of a better showcase than a match against Seth Rollins. I think these two would put on a good match against one another. Gable had some really fun matches on Smackdown against Rusev and AJ Styles where fans got to see his potential as a singles star. I think facing Seth would be another great idea as a way to elevate Gable.
They could also play into the history of Rollins and Gable both being former tag team partners of Jason Jordan.
8) Jason Jordan
Jason Jordan is rumored to be returning from injury soon. I think that it would make a lot of sense for Jordan to return and feud with Seth Rollins over the Intercontinental Championship.
Since they are former tag team partners it makes sense. I think WWE was building towards a Jordan vs Rollins feud but we never got to see it happen because of the injury to Jordan. This gives them the opportunity to play that feud out.
Say what you want about Jason Jordan but he is talented in the ring. I think him and Seth could put on a really fun match against one another. It would also be a good way for WWE to bring Jordan back to TV.
9) Dean Ambrose
One of the biggest rumors over the past year was Dean Ambrose eventually turning on Seth Rollins. With Dean getting injured we never got a chance to see how that would have played out.
With Dean hopefully returning over the next few months, I think it could be fun for him to answer Seth Rollins’ open challenge in his return. The two are friends but they have always been competitive with one another. This would be an example of a competitive match between two brothers.
Could be a great way to bring Ambrose back.
