2) WWE Just Used Benjamin For One-Week Filler
A strong possibility is that WWE just used Shelton Benjamin as filler for this week on RAW.
They needed a match for Seth Rollins on the episode and decided to bring in Shelton because of his connection with Brock. Shelton will go back to not being on TV and there is nothing else planned for him.
Based on Benjamin’s booking since he returned to WWE, this one wouldn’t surprise me.
1) Paul Heyman Is Starting A New Faction
Another option that could be interesting is if Paul Heyman decided to start a new faction on Monday Night RAW.
The idea would be that Brock isn’t around on WWE television much. As a result, Heyman could create a small stable so WWE could use him on TV every week.
In this scenario, Benjamin would be a part of Heyman’s new faction. He has the obvious connection to both Brock and Heyman, so this could be a good fit. Benjamin and maybe some more WWE Superstars would be lead by Heyman moving forward.
Maybe it could be a bunch of guys with collegiate wrestling backgrounds? Chad Gable immediately comes to mind as someone else who could fit. Gable was the tag team partner of Shelton for a time, so it could make sense.
This could be a fun option but I am biased because I love factions.
