Shelton Benjamin made a surprise appearance on RAW this week. Benjamin attacked Seth Rollins and ended up losing to him in a match. We have put together some potential reasons why Benjamin was moved to RAW.
6) Benjamin Is Going To Take Part In A (RAW) Ladder Match At Wrestlemania 35
There are some rumors going around that Wrestlemania 35 is going to feature a lot of multi-person matches. A perfect candidate for a multi-person match in my eyes is the Intercontinental Championship.
Maybe Shelton was brought over to RAW in order to participate in a ladder match at Wrestlemania 35 for the Intercontinental Title? Shelton has plenty of experience in ladder matches and could be a solid heel for the match if WWE wanted to go that route.
Now that Shelton is on RAW, he could end up playing a role in a ladder match at Wrestlemania 35.
5) A (Small) ‘Minnesota Stretching Crew’ Reunion Could Be Happening
Brock Lesnar and Shelton Benjamin used to team together while they were in WWE’s developmental territory. They were known as the “Minnesota Stretching Crew” and won tag team gold on various occasions.
Maybe WWE is putting the team together for a mini-reunion on the road to Wrestlemania? I don’t see it as a long-term thing but it could be fun for Brock and Shelton to team up for an episode or two.
How about Shelton and Brock vs Roman and Seth on an upcoming episode of RAW? I would like to see it.
