5 Surprises That WWE Could Be Planning For NXT’s Involvement At Wrestlemania 36

3) Triple H Teams Up With Or Faces One Of His NXT Stars At Wrestlemania 36

Triple H is probably going to be on the match card at Wrestlemania 36. This has been the case for the past few years and I doubt that is going to change anytime soon. I think that there are some fun ways that WWE could go with Triple H at Wrestlemania 36, which all involve NXT in some form.

The first option is Triple H facing off against one of his Superstars from NXT at Wrestlemania 36. For example, The Undisputed Era attacks Triple H because they feel like they have been mistreated. This sets up Adam Cole vs Triple H at Wrestlemania 36, which would be a fun match.

Or, Triple H could start a feud with Seth Rollins and AOP on RAW. After being outnumbered, he could enlist the help of two of his NXT Superstars to even the odds. Just imagine something like Triple H, Johnny Gargano, and Tommaso Ciampa vs Seth Rollins and AOP at Wrestlemania 36. That could be a really fun way to go.

Both of those scenarios would be a fun way to include NXT at Wrestlemania 36.

2) An NXT Star Wins The Royal Rumble For The First-Time Ever, Leading To A World Title Match At Wrestlemania 36

The option that I think has the best chance of happening is an NXT Superstar winning the Royal Rumble match in 2020. This would be the first time that an NXT star has ever won the Royal Rumble. That NXT star would go on to challenge for the World Title at Wrestlemania 36.

For example, Shayna Baszler wins the Roya Rumble match and challenges Becky Lynch at Wrestlemania 36. Or, Keith Lee wins the Royal Rumble match and challenges Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 36.

Either way, an NXT star winning the Rumble and getting a match at Wrestlemania 36 would be an interesting route for WWE to go. This would continue to put over NXT as WWE’s third brand. Either of those matches would also be a lot of fun.
