1) Buddy Murphy
As soon as this storyline happened, my mind instantly went to Buddy Murphy as the potential attacker.
From a storyline standpoint, it would make sense for Murphy to attack Roman because he wants to get more television time. How do you take things into your own hands? Attacking the top guy in all of WWE is a pretty great start. The storyline writes itself as Murphy would be mad at Roman for getting all of the attention. Murphy is a heel and calls himself the ‘best-kept secret’, so this would fit.
If Reigns vs Murphy did happen, it would likely be a great match. It would also be an incredible showcase for Murphy’s talent. He doesn’t need to win to look like a million bucks here. All he has to do is prove that he can go against a top guy like Roman and his career could skyrocket after.
