As of right now, Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins will have two matches at Clash of Champions. They will be defending their RAW Tag Team Titles against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. They will also be facing one another for the Universal Championship. I have put together some options for how WWE could potentially book this storyline.
5) Braun Strowman Wrestles Three Matches In One Night At Clash Of Champions
An interesting route that WWE could go would be for Braun Strowman to wrestle three matches in one night at Clash of Champions. He already has two matches confirmed for the event and the third would be for the United States Title.
An idea would be for Braun to win the United States Title from AJ Styles on RAW over the next few weeks. Since it is the Clash of Champions PPV, Braun will be forced to defend that Title at the event as well. That would give Braun three matches total for the event.
Here is how they could book it. Early on in the PPV, Braun and Seth Rollins will successfully retain their tag team belts against Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler. Later on, Braun will successfully retain his U.S Title against AJ Styles. By this point, Braun will have had two matches and will be hurting. Then, Rollins will defeat Strowman in the main event to retain the Universal Title.
Braun would still be a double Champion after the event (United States and Tag Team). He is also protected in the loss because he had to wrestle an extra match. WWE could also continue this feud and do Seth vs Braun at the Hell in a Cell PPV.
4) Braun Strowman Turns Heel In The RAW Tag Team Title Match & Goes On To Win The Universal Title
Another option for WWE is to have Braun Strowman turn heel during the RAW Tag Team Title match. A heel turn has been teased for a few weeks now and he could attack his partner, Seth Rollins, during their match together. This would allow Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode to win the Tag Team Titles.
The idea here is that Braun would want to weaken Seth before their Universal Championship match later in the show. As a result, he would turn on him during the match. This would be an easy way for Seth and Braun to drop the Tag belts. After the match, Strowman could keep the attack going on Seth to weaken him even further. This would also help Strowman gain some extra heel heat before the Universal Title match.
This storyline would ultimately lead to Braun beating a weakened Seth in the main event to win the Universal Championship. This would protect Seth, since it took Braun cheap-shotting him to beat him. It would also set up a rematch between them at the Hell in a Cell PPV.
