1) John Cena Replaces The Injured Rey Mysterio & Faces Samoa Joe
Rey Mysterio is currently dealing with an ankle injury. He recently posted that he is hoping to be back for Wrestlemania 35. If he is not, this would provide an awesome opportunity for John Cena.
John Cena vs Samoa Joe is a match that fans have been requesting for years now. Maybe we get that match at Wrestlemania 35?
The storyline would be easy to set up. Cena and Joe started their careers together back with Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW). They both took very different routes to get to where they are today.
Cena vs Joe sounds like a fun match if Mysterio can’t compete. The only issue that I have with this is it would have zero build-up. This is a match that could have a legendary promo battle in the weeks leading up to the event. Still, it is better than not happening at all!
