Here are some mistakes that WWE should avoid making at the Elimination Chamber.
5) WWE Doesn’t Use The Women’s Elimination Chamber Match To Build Up A Member Of The Riott Squad
The Women’s Elimination Chamber match will be Shayna Baszler vs Asuka vs Natalya vs Liv Morgan vs Sarah Logan vs Ruby Riott. Most fans are expecting Shayna to win and face Becky Lynch at Wrestlemania 36.
I think that WWE has a great chance to build up one of the members of the Riott Squad in this match. Asuka and Natalya are already established in the women’s division. Liv, Ruby, or Sarah could really benefit from some strong booking in this Elimination Chamber match. I think that it would be a mistake for WWE to not use this Chamber match to build one of them up and try to take them to the next level.
The goal is to come out of this match with one of the former Riott Squad members looking really strong. They don’t have to win but it should be clearly established that one of them could be a Women’s Title challenger over the next several months. If it was up to me, I would book Liv Morgan to make it all the way to the end of the match. They could really put her over as a strong babyface/ underdog if they did that. That could help elevate Liv to the next level and would put her in the Women’s Championship conversation for the first time in her career.
I think that WWE has a great opportunity to elevate a member of the Riott Squad in this match. We know that Shayna is going to win, so I think they should use the match to try and build a new star.
4) Andrade Drops The United States Championship
WWE has officially confirmed that Andrade will be putting his United States Championship on the line against Humberto Carrillo at the Elimination Chamber. I think that it would be a mistake for Andrade to drop the belt here, which is currently being rumored.
To me, Andrade hasn’t had a great title reign so far. His suspension obviously didn’t help but if WWE wanted the belt off him, they should have just stripped him when he was suspended. Instead, they kept the belt on him and it has been in a holding pattern for the past several weeks.
I think that Andrade could be an excellent Champion if given a better chance. He is incredible in the ring and there are still plenty of feuds that I would like to see with him holding the belt. Andrade vs Ricochet, Andrade vs Aleister Black, and Andrade vs Kevin Owens are just some of the matches that instantly come to mind. WWE still has a ton of options to explore with Andrade holding the belt. As a result, I think that it would be a mistake to take the belt off him, without giving us at least one of those feuds.
Also, I am not really buying into Humberto Carrillo yet. He is a great in-ring talent but he just hasn’t clicked for me. I don’t think that he should be the one to take the belt off Andrade. This might be on the personal side because I am a big Andrade fan but I don’t think that he should drop the U.S Title just yet.
