14 Booking Steps For Money In The Bank 2019

Here is how I would book the 2019 Money in the Bank PPV. This is what I would do if I was in charge.

Step 1) Daniel Bryan & Rowan Retain The Smackdown Tag Team Titles On The Kickoff Show

WWE has confirmed that it will be Daniel Bryan and Rowan vs The Usos on the Money in the Bank kickoff show. This will be for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles.

This should definitely be a solid match for the kickoff show. Hopefully, they are given a decent chunk of time to show their stuff.

Bryan and Rowan need to retain here though. The Smackdown Tag Team division is extremely weak and WWE is going to want to build them up as strong Champions. I say they retain after a fun match.

Step 2) The Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match Opens The Show

If it was up to me, I would have the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match go on as the first match of the main card.

The main reason why is because it sets up a cash-in for later in the show. With Becky Lynch having two matches at the event, she is the prime candidate to get cashed in on at some point. As a result, it would be smart to open the PPV with this match to set up something for later in the show.

At the very least, putting this match on first will have fans wondering for the rest of the show about a potential cash-in, even if they don’t pull the trigger.

Step 3) Bayley Wins The Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match

I have been on the Bayley train for weeks now. I think that she needs to win the Money in the Bank briefcase this year. To me, it feels like Bayley needs an added edge to her character. I think that the Money in the Bank briefcase could help her get some momentum back.

After a fun ladder match, I would have Bayley leaving with the briefcase.

As a side note, I would also have Bayley push Ember Moon off the ladder last to win the briefcase. This would plant some seeds for a future feud between them.
