14 Bold WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Predictions

As we head into the Royal Rumble, we thought that we would share with you some of our bold predictions. Here are a few things that we think will and won’t happen at the event!

1) Ronda Rousey Will NOT Appear

Everyone has heard the rumors by now of Ronda Rousey potentially signing with WWE. This has been a major topic over the past few months in the wrestling world.

A popular theory from fans is that she will enter the Women’s Royal Rumble match. I think that this will NOT happen. Let me explain.

If you are WWE, why would you book Ronda’s first appearance as a surprise? Love or hate her, she is going to bring a ton of mainstream attention to WWE. It would be smarter for WWE to promote her first appearance in advance to get maximum exposure. As a result, I don’t think it benefits them to use her as a surprise in the Rumble.

I think WWE saves it for Wrestlemania and promotes the hell out of it.

2) The Usos Will Drop The Smackdown Tag Team Titles

The Usos will defend their Smackdown Tag Team Championships against Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable in a 2 out of 3 falls match. This should be a fun match on the undercard of the PPV.

As you likely have heard by now, Jey Uso was arrested last week. I think that is going to play a factor in WWE’s decision to take the belts off of the Usos here.

Even if that incident didn’t happen, I still think Benjamin and Gable will be Champions. They have been doing some great work over the past several weeks and I would like to see them get a run with the belts.

3) Neville Returns, Enters The Rumble

You have likely been following along with the Neville saga. He walked out several months ago and hasn’t returned since. There have been a lot of rumors about the situation, with the most recent news not being very encouraging about him returning to WWE.

I am going bold and saying that Neville will return during the Royal Rumble match. If you wanted a way to transition him from the Cruiserweight division to the main roster, this would be a great opportunity. I think that he would receive a big pop and fans would be happy to see him back.

If this doesn’t happen, I think WWE will do its best to bring Neville back to the Cruiserweight division after Enzo’s departure. The division needs help and I wouldn’t be surprised if they do everything they can to bring him back.

Regardless, I expect Neville to be back very soon on WWE television.

4) Asuka Will Be Eliminated 

Asuka is the overwhelming favorite heading into the Women’s Royal Rumble match. I don’t blame you for choosing her as your potential Rumble winner.

I personally don’t think that Asuka will be walking out as the winner. I am a big fan of hers but I just think that it is way too obvious.

Asuka has been eliminated in a battle royal before. This came in NXT, when she was thrown over the top rope by Eva Marie. I think that we will see something similar happen at the Rumble, with whoever eliminates Asuka setting up her next feud.

I just have a feeling that she will be eliminated in this one and won’t win.
