2) New Year, Same Matches

The opening match of the night was Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins. The loser would be banned from ringside for the United States Championship match later in the show between Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns.

It felt like the 100th time that fans have seen these two square off. I am a big fan of both guys as individuals but fans can only see this match up so many times before we get a bit sick of it.

Kevin Owens ended up getting himself disqualified when he used the ring bell on Rollins. This meant that Rollins was the winner of the match and Owens would be banned from ringside later in the night.

We also saw TJ Perkins vs Brian Kendrick later in the show, a match fans have seen plenty of times over the past several weeks.
